Week 2

I stayed up late talking to a good friend last night. I mean REALLY late, 2.5 hrs past my 10pm bedtime. *cringe* I was pretty sure I wouldn't make it out of bed for the gym this morning.... BUT I DID! Yay Me!

I'm not gaining... and the scale is moving down at the gym by partial pound increments. :D I just have to make sure my husband doesn't catch me! He's at 216... I'm at 208.8 at home...

Day 3

I'm back at the gym for the 3rd early morning round. Didn't make it through the 30 minutes, but 22 is better than nothing.

Yoga last night killed me! It always seems to be doing that lately. :(

Second Day

Second day back in my gym routine. 30 minutes cardio today. Not really lovin' my bod, but I'm doing something about it again.

Food for today:

Coffee & small creamer
fruit & greek yogurt
Cabatta roll half & pb
banana
Milk & cookies
Dinner

Energized!

Plus! My friend is back from overseas and we had a great talk last night.
Plus! I restarted my gym routine today: Stretching, 25min cardio, Stretching
Minus! The gym scale says 213
Minus! Theft in the gym while I was there. Time to get a lock. 

Food Planned for Today:

Banana & Berries (105 + 25)
Greek yogurt & honey (132 + 60)
Cabatta roll half with PB (110 + 125)
Cherry tomatoes, broccoli, italian, & cheese curds (25 + 25 + 75)

Cookie (200)

Stressin'

Its a common excuse, but I'm stressing bad and feel like my diet is suffering because of it.

Today I am starting out strong. My plans are as follows: 

Only one cup of coffee & a small piece of blueberry breakfast cake. (This is in comparison to 2 large cups of coffee and 2 slices of breakfast pastry).

Lunch is tomatoes & broccoli w/ feta & italian dressing + half an everything bagel with 1/2 tbs cream cheese.

On call for snacks is a banana (with peanut butter if I get desperate), an empire apple (I hope its not mealy), a yogurt cup, and m&ms.

3 sports bottles of water and any tea that I want.

Dinner will be salad and ravioli with the high likelihood of an alcoholic beverage.

On to the stress part:

One of my very close friends is away in a foreign hostile country - putting me in a constant state of anxiety. I usually text message them all day long along with emails and IMing in the evenings and an occasional phone call. Now it is a sporadic email maybe every 2 days and if I get text messages they are because he is scared. :( I am being strong for him but just learned the trip has been extended (he was supposed to be home Wednesday) and maybe he will be home on the weekend. Time is dragging. I know I can't change it, but it helps a little to share.

I have been slacking.

Not hitting the gym in the AM - and my legs are tightening up because of it. Constant fear of charlie horses. 

But I have been going to yoga weekly - and boy does that hurt the next day (today). Also shows me that my hamstrings are majorly tight! I'm going to have to look up some daily stretches to do and try to fix that.

I have been gardening on the weekends - that feels good and makes me smile every day when I come home to a pretty yard.

And I have been keeping up on my art... so I have positives for my overall health, just gotta ramp it up on the proper eating and exercise.

Yup, got on the scale this morning and not so happy about it. But now I've got a goal: under 200 by May 5th (which is aggressive and a more realistic goal is May 25th)

Salsa and 2 servings of multigrain chips

I'm still here

I'm still here and doing my best to eat healthy :D Yoga tonight! And I am going to try a new yoga class on Monday evenings... see if I like the instructor. That starts next week.

Had a heart to heart with my girlfriend last night: chatting about our boys and all the emotional drama that goes with that. It was nice but draining. Gave me a lot to think about.

Today is going to be a bad day food wise. I haven't been stellar lately but we will be going to my parent's house and they always push the food. I love it, but still... not something to be done every day for sure!

My friend is getting better. The migraine has backed off and he is on his second day off work.

I took the afternoon off to get groceries and generally de-stress. Tonight is a Girl's Night In at my house with one of my girlfriends. We are going to vent about our boys.
